If you would like to stay active in winter but don’t ski, our snowshoeing tour at Kopaonik is an ideal choice. Walking on fresh snow through quiet forests offers a unique way to experience the mountain. Snowshoeing is one of the most popular Kopaonik winter activities for visitors looking for something different from crowded ski slopes and the busy ski resort centre. This tour combines light physical activity with nature and scenic views. Modern snowshoes, made of lightweight metal, plastic and synthetic fabric make walking on snow simple and comfortable. No previous experience is required – good health and appropriate winter clothing are the only prerequisites. Snowshoeing is a safe recreational activity suitable and an excellent option for anyone looking for relaxed things to do in Kopaonik in winter.

Kopaonik Mountain offers excellent conditions for snowshoeing thanks to its wide plateau at around 1,700 meters above sea level. Tours are usually available from December to April, depending on snow depth and weather conditions. The minimum required snow level is around 15-20 cm, while deeper snow guarantees full enjoyment and a true authentic winter atmosphere. Regular shared guided tour typically last 2 to 3 hours, depending on the selected route, group pace and length of breaks. There is always time for short rests, photo stops at scenic viewpoints and enjoying the silence of nature. All tours include snowshoeing equipment and instruction in its use.

Snowshoeing is an eco-friendly winter activity that supports sustainable tourism in Kopaonik National Park. It allows you to breathe fresh mountain air, enjoy to complete silence and experience Kopaonik from a different perspective. There are no officially marked snowshoeing trails in Kopaonik, which is why our licensed Mountain Guides have carefully designed and tested snowshoeing routes around the Kopaonik ski resort. We regularly visit scenic locations such as Markov Kamen, Gobelja Peak, Mushroom Trail, Treska Peak, Pančić Peak, Metođe geyser, Kukavica Peak and the Samokovska River trail. Routes are adapted to participants’ abilities, and tours are supported by the Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia, ensuring a safe and well-organized experience. Take a break between skiing days, bring your family, colleagues for a team building activity, or friends, and join us for one of the most enjoyable winter activities on Kopaonik Mountain.
